Lunch with Andreas Schleicher, Educational Researcher and Statistician
On 9 July, 2020
Education – return to the status quo after the crisis? For the next event in the project "Lunch with..." we welcome the educational researcher and statistician Andreas Schleicher on 9 July. Andreas Schleicher is Director of the OECD Directorate for Education and skills and has been involved in the design and implementation of the PISA studies as Chief Coordinator since 1995.
The project "Lunch with..." was established by the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft at the beginning of 2020. Free thinking, preferably controversial and versatile, is the leitmotif of this series of talks. The thematic lunches begin with keynote speeches by different guest speakers, who enter into dialogue with a limited number of invited guests. Initially, the focus will be on Alfred Herrhausen's themes and thoughts, which the speakers will take up, think further and transfer into future-oriented discourses. So will Andreas Schleicher: With the topic "Learning anew - Not returning to the status quo after the crisis" he refers to his contribution to #ThinkForwards2020.
"Lunch with… Andreas Schleicher" is a joint event of the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, the German Children and Youth Foundation and the Academy for Educational Research and Teacher Training at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Participation is by invitation only. For further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
